We make look-alike and custom heads in the following way:
Photos
- The client sends us as many photos as possible of the person to be recreated. The more photos the better the result!
- If possible, the photos of the head are from all sides and preferably of the same age.
- Color photos from later in life can provide information about eye color, hair and skin.
N.B. Colored photos are often not true to life, but are made more beautiful than reality. For example, large noses are minimized to graceful pointed noses, etc. - One main photo is chosen that should resemble as much as possible the head to be made.
Body measurements
- If the head is on a body, please also provide the total body length, neck circumference, chest and belly circumference.
- If a headgear is placed on the head, please also report the head circumference including hair. Measure the headgear and do not look at the specified size in the headgear, it is often incorrect due to shrinkage!
You will receive a quote
After receiving all your information and instructions, we will quote a price. After approval of the price, the customer pays a first installment of 25% of the contract price.
Sculpting
We start sculpting the head, and the client is kept informed of the progress through photos. The client give us clear instructions to guide us in the modeling process. After approval by the client of the sculpted head, the 2nd installment of 50% of the contract price is due.
Production and finishing
- We make a mold of the sculpted head in order to produce it in silicone rubber or hard-PU/polyester (depending on what has been agreed with the client).
- After production of the head in the desired material, the head is fitted with prosthetic eyes and teeth (if applicable).
- The head will be painted lifelike.
- With silicone heads eyelashes, eyebrows and possibly facial hair are implanted. This implantation is done manually and hair by hair, which is a time-consuming activity.
- If the head is made of hard-PU/polyester, eyelashes can be glued on and hair can be painted. Wigs and hand-knotted moustaches and beards can be glued on.
Approval and delivery
After final approval of the head by the customer, the last 25% of the contract price is due and the head can be collected or shipped.
Price indications
We are happy to give you some price indications. Because every head is different, you cannot derive any rights from this.
Silicone head price indication
- Production of 1 silicone head based on photo’s, incl. sculpting, mold making, lifelike painting, prosthetic eyes and implanted hair: €5000
- Reduced price without implanted scalp hair: – €750
- Additional charge if the head has an open mouth with visible prosthetic teeth: €750 – €1000.
- Additional heads ordered that we can make from the same mold are approximately €1500 cheaper each.
Hard-PU or polyester head price indication
- Production of 1 head from photo’s, incl. sculpting, mold making, lifelike painting and prosthetic eyes: €2500
- Additional charge for sculpted hair, including painting: €250
- Additional cost for wig: from €50 Euro, see our website
- Additional charge for mustache and beard: from 25 Euro, see our website
- Additional charge if the head has an open mouth with visible sculpted and painted teeth: €250
- Additional charge if the head has an open mouth with visible prosthetic teeth: €750 – €1000.
- Additional heads ordered that we can make from the same mold are approximately €1500 cheaper each. Prices on request for large productions.
