Since 1988, the Centre de l’Imaginaire Arthurien has been a charity dedicated to promoting the heritage of Brocéliande and the Arthurian legend. Come and discover what we do in the stunning setting of Comper Castle, overlooking Lake Viviane, right in the heart of the legendary Forest of Brocéliande. A themed trail takes you in the footsteps of King Arthur and his knights, the fairies of the Otherworld and the wizard Merlin.
Every year from April to November, enjoy a rich cultural programme: shows, workshops, role-playing games, talks, temporary exhibitions, a medieval festival and more… Immerse yourself in the heart of the legend!
The Centre de l’Imaginaire Arthurien offers year-round storytelling tours of the must-see sites in the Forest of Brocéliande, themed exhibitions, and shows that let you experience the adventures of Brocéliande as if you were there, lectures to explain and analyse the legend, from its origins to modern reinterpretations, workshops to design your own coat of arms, learn fencing or create a story or a mythical creature, and finally a unique bookshop with over 500 titles to help you understand, enjoy and marvel. A mecca for tales and legends!
