How to turn a male body into a female body

Depending on the size and shape of a person, we frequently use male bodies for the presentation of ladies dressed in historical clothing.

Transform a male body into a female body:

  1. Choose a short fibreglass or flexibele male body, such as MFLEX06 (The height including head is ± 155 cm / ± 5’1″);
  2. Exchange the standard arms for arms with matching female hands. For working woman’s hands you can use small male hands;
  3. Shape the body to more female proportions by adding padding material like a role on the hips and fill a bra with artificial breasts or soft padding material to achieve the desired shape/result. On request we make padding suits to transform a man to a woman, or to give a body some more shape and volume;
  4. Choose a female head to fit the body.

Custom made versus Customized

Custom-made: made from scratch

We will make you a head, figure or product according to your wishes and instructions.

The following is important for the best result:
► The idea and purpose behind your wish: the more we know, the better we can advise you and fulfill your wishes.
► The sizes: are there restrictions on space, or on specific clothing or headgear that need to fit? Important are body length, posture, head circumference and neck girth.
► The kind of diorama: is the diorama indoors or outdoors, in sun or shadow, in dry or humid conditions,? What is the supposed atmosphere of the diorama: e.g. a battlefield, coal mine, office, jungle or historical ship?

After the clay model is finished and approved by you, we will make molds and finish the product in the desired material with painting and implantation.

Customized: Modification of an existing product

You have found a product on our website, but it’s not entirely meeting your wishes.
We can customise it to your liking.

Cosmetic adjustments (makeover)
These include cutting and modeling of hairs, re-painting or applying wounds or body decoration.

Production from an existing mould
More rigorous is to reproduce the product in a material of your choice, with attributes as painting, hair, eyes and teeth according your instructions. Often we can reuse a mould to reproduce the product. The final product will be cheaper with a shorter production time, compared with a new custom-made product.

If you’re looking for a specific (historical) person, there is a chance we’ve made this person before. Or maybe we have heads with a resemblance in stock, which we can give a makeover. If you share your thoughts with us, we’ll see how we can help you within your budget.

What information do we need for production?

► Quantity & material

Do you need a once-only unique head or multiple copies? In what material do we have to produce? If we know this, we can determine what kind of mould we have to make. The price per unit will be much cheaper at series production than for a single unique product.
Serial production is interesting in promotional actions, for example: to showcase the look alike of a famous athlete, politician, world leader or regional icon. These personalities can provide additional attention and sales for your products and services.

► Photos

When the person is alive and approachable, make as many as possible photos from all angles (360 degrees), while the person has the desired facial expression and position.
If this is not possible, choose a picture in the highest resolution as possible. We will use this main picture to sculpt the clay model. Send as much as additional photos as you can. With the help of additional photos we can sculpt details which are not vissible on the main photo. Our sculptors can only reliable sculpt what is visible to them. Hand coloured (or heavily photoshopped) photographs are unsuitable, because the facial features has been distorted. Also avoid photos with deep shadows. Make sure you have send all photos before we start sculpting. Photos send after the start, may lead to confusion about the design and additional costs because we have to adjust the sculpture or mould.

► Sizes

Head circumference, neck circumference and body height are the minimum we need to know, but the more measures the better the result.

► Colors

We can apply any skin color and even seasonal effects such as sunburn or winter cold. Also provides us with eye color, hair color and possibly specific features such as spots and birthmarks.

► Teeth

It is extremely difficult to exactly match the personality when a person has an open mouth. It is necessary to get good pictures and sizes of the teeth and mouth.

► Head position

Has the head a specific horizontal or vertical position? Think of the viewing direction: looking left, right or straight forward. Should there be any emotion on the face (angry / happy)?

► Body

Will the head placed on a body? What will be the posture? On which body of our website, or do you already have a body? In what setting display?

► Details

Do you need the head provided with piercings, special makeup (eg miner or war situation), scars, patches, tattoos and the like?

► Hair style and facial hair

What kind of haircut and facial hair has the head?

Animatronics, vision & sound

Some examples of our animatronics and sound & vision projects.

Please contact us to discuss your wishes.

Sexmuseum Amsterdam

For Sexmuseum Amsterdam we have made the painter Toulouse Lautrec with a moving arm. While he is painting, a picture appears on his canvas, which is in reality a display screen. The static silicone figure of Josephine Baker is spinning around on a rotating disc, while in the background authentic scenes are projected. Visitors can view more information on touchscreens with luxurious bronze frames. If they retire to the lavatory, they will be surprised with an animation in the mirror, triggered by a motion sensor.

The arm of Toulouse Lautrec:

Radar triggered sound and light effects

When a visitor walks past the hidden radar, the lamps in the suitcase will light and a the custom officer will talk to the passer-by.

Animatronics: The brave little tailor

For a fairyland we have adapted a flexible figure. When a visitor push the button, the tailors arm will lift and come down to kill the flies.

Sculpted hair

When ordering a photo-sculpted person, you can opt for a final version in silicone, polyester, bronze, baked ceramics and in consultation with other materials.
When choosing for silicone (the most lifelike option), the hairs can be implanted and will therefore not be modeled in the sculpture. With the other materials, hair, eyebrows, beards and mustaches will be molded into the sculpture.
Any scars, pimples, holes for earrings and or piercings can also be molded.
